Gluten-free gluten?

The clever people at Orgran have devised a gluten replacement made from entirely gluten-free ingredients. This so-called ‘gluten-free gluten’ is based on rice flour, corn starch and pea flour. You can use it in a similar way to xanthum gum to help replace the elasticity given by gluten in regular flour. We’ve had great fun with the name: gluten-free Gluten Free Gluten gluten substitute can start to loop after a while! We’ve settled on GFG now, for sanity.

We’ve got some recipes using this gluten substitute, and to help you get started, have some free packets to give away with your order from us. During September we will send them out with any gluten-free order; after this, use the code GFG in the voucher box when ordering.
