Barleycup Chocolate Brownie recipe

The Barleycup website ( has various recipes using its products. Here’s one that caught our eye (adapted slightly). Using Barleycup in your cooking is the perfect chance to incorporate its nutritional values into your diet – if you’re making Brownies, give them a little boost with this!

Gluten-free Barleycup Chocolate Brownies


Pack gluten-free Chocolate Brownie mix (we stock this from Hale & Hearty and from Orgran – or, if you’re a confident gluten-free baker, you could simply use your usual recipe)

1 tbsp Barleycup

½ tsp cinnamon

8 tbsp melted butter

1 tsp vanilla

2 eggs, beaten

1 handful chopped walnuts

Preheat the oven to 180C/350F and grease or line a baking tray. Mix all the ingredients together. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the tray, leaving two inches between each spoonful. Bake for 8 minutes or until crispy at the edges.
