Mincemeat muffins recipe

A slightly different twist on the traditional uses for mincemeat, these muffins are great with Naturally Good Food’s wonderful mincemeat, which we have available as gluten-free, dairy-free, organic and with no added sugar. These mincemeat muffins can be a good alternative for those who find mince-pies too rich, or for when you need a Christmas snack that travels well or that can be easily prepared by children. Perfect for school Christmas fairs!

Mincemeat for mincemeat muffins.

Mincemeat: dairy-free, gluten-free, organic or no added sugar.


12oz self-raising flour

6oz sugar

9 tbsp sunflower oil

12 fl oz water

5oz mincemeat


Heat the oven to 375F/190C/Gas Mark 5.

Line a 12-hole deep muffin tin with deep muffin cases.

Mix the flour and sugar, then add the oil and water and mix quickly again. Fold in the mincemeat, spoon into the muffin cases and bake for 15-20 mins.
