We’re slap-bang in the middle of Coeliac Awareness Week as I write, which might explain the recent crop of news stories about gluten-free diets and living as a coeliac. There’s probably never been greater awareness of coeliac disease than there is today. Supermarket aisles are full of gluten-free products, and we all know someone who’s having a go at a gluten-free lifestyle. Nevertheless, too many people are still unsure as to how best to obtain their gluten-free products. Shopping in supermarkets can mean that you end up paying far too much for what you need – and can lead to a restricted diet too. We’re here to help.
Coeliac Awareness Week: our gluten-free range
We’ve been helping coeliacs to eat healthy, balanced diets for years now. We supply many UK pharmacies with gluten-free products and have an entire gluten-free section on our website, which is open to everyone.
We’re cheaper than the supermarkets if you buy in bulk from us: we offer a 10% case discount on our gluten-free food and even larger discounts if you buy in bigger quantities. We supply a growing number of businesses, as well as private customers, with gluten-free food in bulk.
We’ve got a great range of gluten-free alternatives, from the leading brands. We’re the UK stockist of the Orgran range of gluten-free food (it’s also dairy-free, soy-free and nut-free, among other things). This is a truly comprehensive range! Whatever it is you need gluten-free – from gravy to chocolate cake – Orgran can help you out.
And it’s not just Orgran. We stock a good selection of Barkats and Hale & Hearty products, as well as Dove’s Farm, Pure, Rizopia, Big Oz and many more. If you’ve heard of a gluten-free brand, the chances are, we stock it.
A new kid on the block is Middletons. Middletons produce a range of gluten-free mixes for breads, biscuits, cakes, batter and sauces. We’ve tested them pretty extensively and can confirm that these really do make ‘normal’ products, which also tick the gluten-free box. See all our (bright-yellow) Middleton’s range here.
We’ve also got gluten-free products specifically designed for children, so that no-one needs to feel like they’re missing out. We stock gluten-free children’s cereals, biscuits and pasta shapes, as well as sweet, safe treats for kids.
Naturally gluten-free products
Naturally Good Food stocks a really wide selection of wholefoods, and within this, there are many grains, flakes and other ingredients that are naturally gluten-free. Around the world, gluten-free grains such as millet and buckwheat are staples – as of course, are rice and quinoa. Whether you need to eat gluten-free, or simply want to, it’s important that you get the whole spread of nutrients in your diet, and enough protein. Eating these naturally gluten-free wholefoods will ensure that happens.
